Pronounced: Ha-jee-may (始め)
Hajime is the Japanese word for “beginning” or “the first step.” In martial arts, it is also the command to “begin,”signaling the start of every match, every lesson, and every journey. Every black belt begins as a white belt, every warrior takes a first step, and every legacy has a beginning.
Crafted for daily training and competition, the Hajime Gi is built for durability, comfort, and performance. The jacket is made from 450 GSM Pearl Weave fabric, while the pants are constructed from 10 oz ripstop fabric.
The fabric goes through a Sanforized and mercerized finishing process, along with pre-shrinking, to improve the feel, durability, and stability of the gi.
Mercerization: Helps make the fabric softer, smoother, and more durable.
Sanforization & pre-shrinking: Helps control shrinkage and maintain the garment’s size and shape after washing.
These processes give the Hajime Gi a softer feel, improved durability, and better size stability through repeated washing and training.
The jacket features a circular embroidered Viking Samurai patch on the left chest, complemented by embroidered VIKING SAMURAI lettering running along the lapel.
The back features the embroidered Viking Samurai Crest, with バイキング侍柔術 (Viking Samurai Jiujitsu) embroidered across the lower skirt, representing strength, resilience, and the warrior spirit that unites the Viking Samurai Jiujitsu community.
The pants complete the design with バイキング侍 (Viking Samurai) embroidered down the right leg, VIKING SAMURAI embroidered down the left leg, an embroidered Viking Samurai Crest on the back of the left leg below the knee, and an embroidered Viking Samurai Crest with VIKING SAMURAI lettering on the lower right leg.
